Loco Burro Fresh Mex Cantina Review

My all-time favorite cuisine is, yep, you guessed it . . . Mexican! So, a trip to Loco Burro in Gatlinburg was a must. I’m glad I finally got the opportunity to check it off my list of new places to try during a visit to Gatlinburg last month.

The restaurant is located at 735 Parkway, #1 in Gatlinburg on the second floor of the building. Patio dining is available for overlooking the city of Gatlinburg while enjoying a delicious meal. We were unable to dine outside as the weather was still cold during our visit. I will definitely visit again in warmer weather to take advantage of the patio dining.

We arrived at the restaurant shortly after it opened at 11 am. It was fairly empty when we arrived but it began to fill up rather quickly.

The chips and salsa were delicious. We snacked on those while trying to decide what to order. There are SO many great options on the menu. Our server, Cristiana, was wonderful. She was very attentive and helpful and gave us plenty of time to decide on what to order.

We finally decided on Chicken and Steak Fajitas and Taco Salad.

I had the Chicken and Steak Fajitas which includes marinated and mesquite wood-grilled meats with grilled sweet peppers & onions. All fajitas served with fresh-pressed flour or corn tortillas, fresh-Mex rice, charro beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, cilantro sour cream, jalapeños, and our Mexican butter.

My friend chose the Taco Salad which included seasoned beef served over fresh greens, avocado, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, sour cream, Mexican cheese blend, tortilla strips, and your choice of dressing and served in a fried flour tortilla bowl. She got the avocado ranch dressing and said it was amazing.

You don’t want to miss this place if you love Mexican cuisine. We will definitely visit again.
