Dollywood’s Sweet Summer Nights

Sweet summer nights are here at Dollywood!

NEW this summer . . . extended nighttime hours and Dollywood’s Sweet Summer Nights, complete with a dance party and 3D Drone & Fireworks show. Now open through July 31!

Dollywood’s Sweet Summer Nights
Dance Parties | 8:45 and 9:15 p.m.
3D Drone & Fireworks Show | 9:40 p.m.

Preparations for the dance party begin at 7 pm nightly as the creek area in Wildwood Grove is transformed from a splash area to a dance floor.  Guests are asked to exit the creek area as the Dollywood staff prepares for the nightly dance parties. Coolers, picnic baskets, blankets, and pillows are placed in the truck beds, lights are turned on, fog machines are filled, and water is swept away from the creek area.

Guests are counted as they enter the main dance area. Tip: If you want to be in the dance area to dance, make sure to head to the creek area at Wildwood Grove by 8 pm as this is the time they begin to let people in. Once they reach their capacity, no one else is allowed inside the dance area.

Two dance parties take place before the 3D Drone & Fireworks show. The first party begins at 8:45 pm and the second party begins at 9:15. There is a small break in between dance parties for doing the limbo and chicken dance.

The countdown to the start of the 3D Drone & Fireworks show begins once the last dance number ends. The show starts with fireworks choreographed to music.

The 3D Drone show is amazing! If you have never experienced one before, you definitely need to!

Our favorite part of the drone show was the butterfly. It looked like it was flying!

Once the drone show ends, there’s another round of fireworks to finish the show.

Tip: We found that the bridge area next to Wildwood Grove was the absolute best spot to watch the dance party and fireworks show. We made our way to the bridge area around 7 pm and are very glad we did. People began to fill into the area fairly quickly to find their spots to watch the show.

The Sweet Summer Nights celebration runs through July 31, 2021 at Dollywood. You should definitely make plans to attend this event. We highly recommend it.
