on

Our next YouTube spotlight is featuring none other than Roxy Foxy and Dr J. This father-daughter duo is fun to watch. They love visiting amusement parks, trying new foods, and much more.

Read on to learn more about their channel. Be sure to click the subscribe button and share with your friends that love Dollywood and the Smoky Mountains.

Please give us a brief background on yourself and tell us about your YouTube channel.

We are a father-daughter team, we love theme parks, new adventures, new foods, and spending time together as a family.

When & why did you start making YouTube videos?

When Roxy was about 9 or so, for Christmas we made some hand puppets and made a quick video, she loved it so much that we made this type of videos for over a year (they were horrible)

How did you get started with vlogging?

After a family trip we lost our puppets, but still wanting to video we decided to do food and travel Vlogs. We are by no means professionals but we do love what we do!

What was your first vlog about?

Munals Donut shop in Paducah KY (it’s rumored to have been the inspiration for Krispy Kreme recipe)

How has your vlogging changed since you got started?

We hope better… We have tried to make better decisions on how we record and our footage. I also think that we are more comfortable filming in public.

What advice would you give to a YouTuber just getting started?

Just start, you will probably be terrible but you have to start somewhere, choose a subject that you are passionate about. That passion will carry over to your viewers. And have fun with it.

What advice can you give to people who feel they are too shy to start making their own YouTube videos?

The great thing is that if you are shy, you can film at home until you are more comfortable about it. You have a voice and a story that I’m sure somebody will connect to and enjoy.

What are your plans/goals for the next 6 months?

To make it out of 2020 alive… Really though… We have started a series trying to draw attention to local “ma and pop” shops and restaurants around east TN and of course, we are planning on more videos around Dollywood.

Anything else you’d like readers to know?

If you enjoy what you do, others will too. Also, enjoy the journey.
