Please give us a brief background on yourself and tell us about your YouTube channel.
Our names are Chris and Courtney, our YouTube channel is primarily featuring activities, attractions and locations that you may not know about or have heard about and would like more information before you try them for yourself, we always do our best to highlight each location and give our honest opinions on them.
When & why did you start making YouTube videos?
Our channel began in early February 2020, after spending several years checking out various locations and attractions during vacation and upon returning to work each time Chris would have several people asking for details and information, it just seemed sensible to start a YouTube channel so others could check out the places we visit that they are interested in.
How did you get started with vlogging?
Chris actually began vlogging unintentionally, he made a trial run video of The Long Island of the Holston River, and after hearing him talk about wanting to start a YouTube channel I, Courtney decided that video was the perfect jumping-in sport and created The Wondering Weasel channel.
What was your first vlog about?
The first vlog was actually about The Long Island of The Holston River, a small island in Kingsport Tennessee that once was home to a Cherokee settlement, it’s most famous resident being Chief Dragging Canoe.
How has your vlogging changed since you got started?
We like to think that our vlogging has changed since we first got started by the video quality improving, the content being of more interest, and overall just being more comfortable vlogging in general
What advice would you give to a YouTuber just getting started?
The advice we would give to a Youtuber just getting started would be to go for it, stick with subjects that you enjoy and just be yourself on camera.
What advice can you give to people who feel they are too shy to start making their own YouTube videos?
Our advice for someone who thinks they’re too shy to start making videos would be go for it anyway, you become far more comfortable with each video that you make and before long it really just becomes second nature to be walking around talking to a camera everywhere you go.
What are your plans/goals for the next 6 months?
Our plans or goals for the next six months is to continually improve our videos and to try our best to feature content that viewers will find interesting, informative, or just enjoyable.
Anything else you’d like readers to know?
We greatly appreciate everyone who takes the time out of their day to watch our videos, if there is somewhere you’d like to suggest we go please leave it in a video comment, send an email or leave a comment on Instagram.
